Come join us for a Living History Presentation of North Carolina Soldiers
during the “War Between the States” and Battle Scenario’s of how small
skirmishes would have happened throughout the War on the farmlands of the
South and the Appalachian Mountains.
Learn of the Lenoir Family and the History of the over 216 yr old Plantation
and how it earned the name Ft Defiance.
Visit the homestead of General William Lenoir Revolutionary War Hero.
Camp and reenact where Longstreet’s Corp’s once was encamped in 1864
expecting to raid Eastern Tennessee. Learn about what happened when
Stonemans raiders arrived at the homestead. Come experience a Wartime
Hospital Scene in the house and on the grounds surrounding 216 yr old home
of the Lenoir Family.
Firing Demonstrations both Saturday and Sunday of an Original 12 lb
Napoleon Cannon “Named Satan” that once defended Ft Fisher.
Saturday and Sunday Battle, Saturday Night Dance, Sunday Church Service.

Thursday: Sutler’s permitted to set up
Friday: Reenactor registration. No registration fee
Saturday:
Cars out of Camp by 8am
Through out the day there will be firing, drilling demonstrations and a Hospital Scene, recreating 19th
century medical during the War Between The States and the casualties of war
10:am Camps open to public, Firing demonstration of Satan (12lb Cannon)
Firing Demonstrations of this Cannon will be throughout the day at select times
10am and every hour thereafter home tours of the Lenoir Home
11:am Graveside Memorial for the Lenoir’s that fought in the War Between the States
2:00pm “Thunder in The Yadkin River Valley” A scenario battle of how small skirmishes would have
happened in the Appalachian Mountain areas of NC,
Tn and Va.
3:30:pm Memorial Dedication of General Collett Leventhorpe
6pm Camp Closes to spectators
“Possible Sat Night Dance to be announced”

10:am Camp opens to public
11:am Church Service under the shade of Ft Defiance by "Fighting Chaplain" Cpl. Jerry Roberts
12:30pm Firing demonstration of Satan (12lb Cannon) Firing Demonstrations of this Cannon will be
